Welcome to the Award-Winning
Perform It! Young People’s Stage Company
Wolfeboro,  New Hampshire, USA

Perform It! Wins 2009 Moss Hart Award. (read more...)

Perform It! Young People’s Stage Company's mission is to create high quality programs in the classical theater arts to enhance the lives of children, adolescents, and their parents in our community. We primarily use the works of William Shakespeare to provide projects that build relationships between people of all ages. This results in excellent theater productions for the New Hampshire Lakes Region.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit theater company that gives students and their families, senior citizens, and international theater students an opportunity to learn about each other through working together to study, discuss, understand, and perform Shakespeare’s theater.

Our productions are youth-centered performances that involve parents, grandparents, and extended family. Students collaborate with area artists, musicians, composers, builders, and designers to create the music, set, lighting, make-up and costumes. They learn voice projection, stage presence, and character analysis. In short, they have the opportunity to learn every aspect of theater arts.

Perform It! Wins 2009 Moss Hart Award

The Moss Hart trophy is awarded to one theater company in New England each year whose production exemplifies the highest standards of excellence. There are five divisions that compete for the award: professional, college, secondary, children and youth, and community theatre. Theatre companies compete in their respective divisions, and one winner is selected from each division. The award committee then chooses one of these five winners to receive the Moss Hart trophy award. Perform It! was the 2009 winner in the children and youth theater division and was then selected as the overall winner! read more...
